The NextOne aka The Dreamer (born Maurizio Cannavò)

Widely considered a Bboy legend and definitely HipHop pioneer in Italy.
He was inspired back in the 80's by the NYC legends from (Flashdance, BeatStreet, WildStyle, Style Wars).
Began dancin’ in 1984, his HipHop journey proceed, as dj artist, song writer and producer, spinning from '86 and recording since 88, working for different indie and few major labels.
In the B-Boy world is credited for the creation of many dance moves, and for his straight Bboy flavor:
(Power Footworks, Space Flow) ”Explosive Dance Techniques and Own Unique Style” that’s what Ken Swift and Mr Wiggles says in a interview about Maurizio.
In the 90's moved to the States and became a member of the legendary "Rock Steady Crew", also was part, on the first HipHop Musical world tour ever made: "Jam On The Groove" sponsored by Calvin Klein, after such important experience, along with Mr wiggles dropped his first classic underground video  "Incredible Bboy VOL 1" (VHS/DVD).
Back home founded "Next Level Entertainment" and released the Album called:
The Next Diffusion "Straight from Da Heart" (feat. The Godfather Of HipHop Afrika Bambaataa… and more!)
Follows more collaborations in the Dance and Music career, produced beats for different Artists (Singers and Mc's).
In the meantime keept on working for several TV networks, cameo for Music Videos, also advertising for the global campaign “Nike Freestyle Face-off”, and the “Universal Music Mobile” in Paris directed by French comedian Jamal Deboize with Luc Besson troupe.
Also Theater and Radio experience, hosting and spinning his incredible Vinyl collections, for HipHop shows.
Actually is working with a Live Band to record a new album called "Freedom Music Experience", he's still performin', teachin' and travelin' around the globe.
This eclectic artist, he’s well known in the scene, already 26 years in the game, his name got credits in books and Documentary, invited at numerous Music and Bboy events, to judge competitions, participating in panel discussions and holding workshops, special guest invited for after Party as dj in the hottest spots, he has a very versatile style!!!
His contributions and dedication for the art forms is recognized and respected worldwide.

Dj NextOne

Sicily (his Native Land)
It was the 1971, when he Begun unaware to put his hands over the “portable old school 7 inches turntable”, he was only two years and a half. His brothers use to told him to play Music for them, he knew already all his 7 inches records!!!

Later his family moved from the south Italy to the north, in Turin. It was a very cold different environment, compared to the southern comfort...so slowly uncosciously he kinda got lost with his Musical gift, waitin’ unconsciously to be able to return somehow one day...
Around 1984, somethin' special happens...that was the very first time when he met the HipHop Culture!

...One day in 1986, with his friend Dj "Lowdy”, watchin’ over and over "Wild Style" the legendary kitchen scene, inspired by Grand Master Flash skills Techniques, while “Cuttin’it up” the original (Head Hunters’s break) "God makes me funky", mixing into "Take me to the mardi gras" (Bob James’s break)...
well...Try to understand, he was so amazed after such spectacular exhibition...So he said to himself:
"One day I wanna be just like him!" and that’s how the story was it!!!

...In the early days, his nickname was "Dj Dope-king NextOne". Started spinning in the notorious Turin’s "Studio Two Disco Club", promoting sonority of classic Funk early HipHop and R&B...he’s style at that time was still raw!
He’s spinning techniques finally find a better structures and quality, when he moved to NYC.
Hangin’ out every night, especially on Tuesday and Thursday night, use to go clubbin’ for dancin’ while experienced and learning, at the famous “Big City Dinner” spot and “The Red Zones", listening to pioneer’s in action such like Dj Dj Red Alert, Kid Capri, Biz Markie, Afrika Bam and many others...
he was definitely witness of the real New York Sound.

Nowadays he change his nickname in "Dj NextOne aka tHe Dreamer".
He is specialized in a very versatile style! His musical journey take you higher through different vibrations, moods and sounds:

Way back from the roots of modern Soul and Jazz, Afro-Latin Funk-Rock grooves, Breaks & Beats of the 70’s, classics Disco Boogie and 80's Electro P-Funk jams, take u thru the Park in the early block Party, feelin' the Era of the young Old School Rap, ‘till he set it off straight to the playground, with the Golden Age of HipHop, make u sweat with New Jacks Swing, havin’ fun with ladies on the R&B tip, get’em sexy on the Dance-hall tip 'till reachin' out a freedom Dance experience with classic Deep House garage...and Today Music.

he is also recognize for being a serious records collector, over 20.000 original vinyl’s......Take a Ride!!!
Produced beats for many different Artists (Singers and Mc's), also performed and collaborated with legends such like:
Rakim, Gangstarr, Guru’s Jazzmatazz, Afrika Bambaataa & Kool Dj Herc, Donald Dee, Grand Master Caz (Cold Crush Brothers), Grand Mixer DST, ?estion Love, Rahzel & Scratch (the Roots), Common, Tony Touch & Cocoa Brovaz, Das Efx, Maseo of (De la Soul), Alliance Etnik, Mc Solar, Smooth da Hustler & Nexx Level Click, Group Home, Chief Rocker Busy Bee, Ali Shaheed Muhammad (ATCQ), Erick Sermon and many others.
